Contractors perform individual workstation evaluations, deliver recommendations, and produce client-facing reports - contributing to ETC's national office ergonomics practice.

Ideal background
  • OT or PT licensure (required)
  • Experience in workplace ergonomics assessment
  • Ergonomics certification preferred (CEAS, CIE, CPE)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently at client sites
  • Proficiency in standard reporting tools

Ergonomist - Automotive Industry

Michigan, USA Contract / Full-time Manufacturing

Drive optimization of the worker interface by reducing and eliminating ergonomic issues associated with product, process, tooling, workstation design, and man-assignment in an automotive manufacturing environment. The role delivers ergonomic expertise across assigned programs with a final deliverable covering Trim, Chassis, and Final workstation reviews.

  • Ergonomic risk identification, analysis, and resolution for high-priority jobs
  • Support productivity initiatives through elimination of non-standard operations

  • Has 2+ years of hands-on field experience in ergonomics or occupational health
  • Comfortable working independently at client sites with minimal supervision
  • Produces clear, client-ready written reports and recommendations
  • Brings industry-specific knowledge in at least one of ETC's key sectors
  • Open to travel and varied project schedules
